Lincoln Charter School offers 10 different MS and HS sports in fall, winter, and spring seasons. LCS participates in the Piedmont Charter Athletic Conference (PCAC) for Middle School sports and the Catawba Shores Athletic Conference (CSAC 2A) for High School sports. In addition, LCS is a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) – the governing body for most NC public HS athletics.

LCS Athletics Character Expectations
Leadership, Character, Sportsmanship
LCS coaches and teams have set themselves apart as some of best in the state on the 1A. At LCS, we are continually improving our athletic program. It is the goal of the program to develop young athletes that understand how to be leaders with character who show sportsmanship on the playing surface and who will become strong community members. The athletic department will be using the Learn.Serve.Engage. (L.S.E.) program as a means to incorporate service learning within LCS Athletics.
We expect each team to develop leaders within their program. Leadership has nothing to do with titles and age. The goal of the LCS program is to develop young individuals into leaders whatever role they take on a team.
Character should be developed within the LCS team concept. Athletes are expected to see their role as an LCS student athlete as more than just being a part of a sports team, but as a way to involve themselves within the LCS community for good. Each athlete will represent LCS in a positive manner at sporting events, in school, and in the community. Each team will be expected to organize and execute a L.S.E. event as a team.
Student athletes are expected to represent LCS on the playing surface in a positive manner. Sportsmanship is expected from both coaches and athletes. We expect our coaches actions to lead our athletes in a manner that displays sportsmanship. We desire to be the team that schools enjoy playing. Our words and actions before, during, and after a game should be used to build relationships with other schools. Social media and other forms of communications should not be used by athletes or staff to belittle other teams and competitors.
